It's just a little rain

She looked outside the window of bus, clearly frustrated. The rains have been pouring in since quite some time now. Her bus was full with no respite from humidity. She inched more towards window to get some fresh air. She looked around at various cars around her bus and sighed !! Her gaze moved to an A8, her dream car. She looked at couple seated inside, talking. She cringed for a companion, to talk to, to roam around, to have fun and most importantly to make her feel special!

She had long lost interest in his talks. The faint earthy scent played with her senses. The songs in their A8 was no more music to her ears. She could feel the rhythm of her heart beat dancing to the tunes of rain. She could hear the music of rains falling on rooftop. She could see the dance of raindrops on her window sill. She shuddered looking at the intimacy of droplets running towards each other to become one. She felt a longing in her heart to step out, to break free and be one with her rain, her earth !!! She sighed!! She looked outside her window randomly, looking at no one in particular. Her gaze stopped at a girl completely drenched in rain. She must be 10-12 years old and her face was a pure joy to look at. There was nothing holding her back,no barriers, no restrictions, she was truly united with nature oblivious to the traffic, honking, mud and glaring eyes. She loved rain and it was evident in the way she held her body against rain, soaking her completely body and soul.

Wow it's raining !!! She looked around and saw so many cars and buses and motor cycle and pedestrians!! Everyone was running and hiding as if it's a curse to get wet in rain. She held her hand out from the makeshift Shelter. She cupped her palms, gathered some water and thanked rain God. She stepped out from her shelter, clearly happy that it is raining. She faced the rain with her face held high and watched the raindrops pouring over her head. As if on cue, like a hungry lover, the rain quickly met her desperately, longingly and drenched her inch by inch, from head to toe. She was in love with rain, she was one with rain, to hell with what others might think!
